Finishing as National Runner Up in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament last season, John Wood Community college head coach Brad Hoyt has amassed a 111-53 record, and an impressive 24-6 conference record the past three seasons. A rising star in the college coaching ranks, Hoyt contributes his offensive success to a continuity that begins in offensive transition. The rules of the continuity eventually flow into a read and counter offense that the players master throughout the season, making them a dangerous contender at tournament time. In this video, Coach Hoyt shows you the starting points of this offense in transition, basic rules and cuts and takes you through the number of offensive reads the players pick up as the season progresses. Hoyt also gives a number of teaching points to help implement the offense, several sets and shows video samples of the offense in game situations. 2015 52 Minutes
